Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB) Universitas Methodist Indonesia Tahun akademik 2025/2026
Medan – Universitas Methodist Indonesia (UMI) secara resmi memulai Tahun Akademik 2025/2026 dengan menyelenggarakan kegiatan Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB). Acara ini menjadi momentum penting bagi ratusan mahasiswa baru untuk bertransformasi dari pelajar menjadi bagian dari civitas akademika UMI.
Acara yang dilaksanakan adalah Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB) untuk menyambut mahasiswa baru tahun akademik 2025/2026. PKKMB bertujuan memperkenalkan lingkungan kampus, sistem akademik, etika, dan nilai-nilai yang dijunjung tinggi oleh UMI. Kegiatan ini menjadi fondasi bagi mahasiswa agar dapat beradaptasi dengan kehidupan kampus yang mandiri dan profesional. PKKMB UMI Tahun Akademik 2025/2026 resmi dibuka pada Jumat, 3 Oktober 2025.
Kegiatan akbar ini dipusatkan di Kampus 2 Universitas Methodist Indonesia, yang memiliki fasilitas representatif untuk menampung seluruh peserta dan tamu undangan.
Acara ini dihadiri oleh jajaran penting yang menegaskan dukungan penuh terhadap perkembangan UMI. Tokoh-tokoh yang hadir meliputi:
Ketua Bishom Gereja Methodist Indonesia, yang memberikan wejangan rohani dan moral.
Perwakilan dari Yayasan Pendidikan Gereja Methodist Indonesia, yang menggarisbawahi komitmen yayasan terhadap kualitas pendidikan.
Rektorat Universitas Methodist Indonesia, termasuk Rektor, para Wakil Rektor, Dekan, dan seluruh pimpinan fakultas.
Ratusan Mahasiswa Baru dari berbagai program studi.
Rektor UMI dalam sambutannya menegaskan bahwa PKKMB ini esensial untuk membangun karakter dan integritas mahasiswa. "Kami tidak hanya ingin mencetak lulusan yang cerdas secara akademik, tetapi juga memiliki iman, etika, dan komitmen pelayanan yang kuat, sejalan dengan nilai-nilai Kristiani yang dipegang UMI," ujar Rektor. PKKMB juga menjadi sarana untuk memperkenalkan Roadmap pengembangan UMI ke depan, termasuk fokus pada peningkatan riset dan pengabdian masyarakat.
cara berlangsung khidmat dan penuh semangat. Diawali dengan kebaktian singkat, dilanjutkan dengan upacara resmi pembukaan. Sesi materi diisi oleh pemaparan dari Lembaga Penjaminan Mutu (LPM) mengenai standar akademik dan Kepala Biro Kemahasiswaan mengenai kegiatan unit mahasiswa.
Ketua Bishom, dalam sesi pembekalan, berpesan agar mahasiswa menjadikan UMI sebagai tempat untuk bertumbuh, baik secara intelektual maupun spiritual. Kegiatan PKKMB akan dilanjutkan selama beberapa hari dengan sesi soft skills, team building, dan pengenalan langsung fasilitas laboratorium serta perpustakaan. Mahasiswa diharapkan dapat segera beradaptasi dan siap menjalani perkuliahan pada pekan berikutnya.
